About Me...

I moved to Stephenville in 1984 after receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Baylor University. I gained ten years of teaching experience prior to serving as Executive Director of Cross Timbers Pregnancy Care Center, a non-profit crisis intervention agency, providing counseling and support services to women and their families in crisis pregnancy situations. It was there that I realized my love for counseling. During my 10 years at CTPCC, I was given the opportunity to speak publicly through presentations and seminars to hundreds of teenagers and parents in both public school and church settings. After earning my Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University, I spent three years as a school counselor for Stephenville ISD and then began my private Christian Counseling practice. The journey to this place in my career was full of valuable learning experiences. I am now living my dream working with people to heal so they can live the fulfilled, satisfying lives God intended for them.
My husband, Chet, and I have been married since 1985 and have two adult sons, Elijah and Ben. Balancing marriage, children and a busy career throughout my adult life has taught me valuable life lessons that help me understand and connect with my clients. I work comfortably with people of all ages, helping them overcome stressful emotional difficulties so they are able to move forward into a blessed life of mental health and well-being. Helping others find hope and resolution to issues causing major concerns in their lives is my passion.
